Follow up question if you dont mind.  What i want to accomplish its to control the addon "genesis" for kodi.

Im able to open the addon, but the sub menu is Movies ..TV shows...Channels ... etc ... will it be possible to control those directly or i have to do a command to go up and down and then enter on the desired selection?

Thanks

Hi all,

This might be a dumb question but im trying to figure out how to make VC command my Kodi Isengard.  This is what ive done.

1. Install Xjson, xMySql, Xsql plugins
2. Installed VoxCommando tools from the VC installation zip included on VC folder
3. Configure Kodi to have the webserver enabled.
4. Configured Xjson plugin to point to the kodi webserver.
5. Tested connection - Success
6. Created a new action on VC, went to to plugin actions and from here im pretty much lost.  I dont see any actions or anything.  Can someone give me some pointers on how to get this started so i can then continue?

Thanks in advance

Juan

Just to make sure, is the itach Wifi to IR will work fine with VC?   To control all my IR devices via voice

9
I think im going the way of Global Cache WF2IR iTach Wi-Fi to IR.   Im a bit worried since i was reading on the Vera forums that the plugin iTachWifi is not working for some people.

Vera Home Automation Controller / Recommendation for AV control integration

Hi all.. first of all... amazing software. Kudos..

Ok. So im starting a HA project that i will replicate in different houses but before i do that i need to make sure its going to work around voice commands.

I currently have a Vera Edge.. some smart relays.. and dimmers intalled around the house and vera does the job just fine.   I decided to evaluate VC and so far its great.. i can control all the lights by voice with tge Vera plugin.

Now i got to the next step.. Audio and Video.  I would like a solution that can control my IR devices such as TV, receiver, android box etc from vera... so i can if course control it with VC as well.

Can someone give me some pointers on what hw can i get that will work with both vera and VC.

Thanks

Hi nime5ster, thanks for taking the time to reply.  Below my answers.

1. Yes, i meant voxWav

2. Yes i actually made that mistake but i found on the forums that its Tcpmic and corrected it

3. Yes, i did i actually used the fully restart option and also closed the aplication and opened it manually again

4. When i click on the antenna, i get 2 IPs of the system with Windows 8.1 that has the VC installed. I have tried with any of them

5. Yes both devices are on the same network (LAN)

One thing to mention is this im using a VPN client (Private Internet access) on the Windows server, therefore i get 2 ip addresses, i think one if for the virtual device it creates for the tunnel and the other one if for the physical card. I make sure i disconnect the VPN client and close it and also have tried with both ips and still nothing. I dont know if that has to do with it or not, it should not but i might be wrong

Thanks

Good day,

Yesterday i installed the voxcommando v2 trial and the vox on my cellphone to evaluate it for my home automation project.

I installed voxcommando with no issues and created a couple of events and using my computers headset works like a charm.

I tried to use it using voxwav but im always getting an error that could not connect to TCP.   I followed the instructions to install the TCPmic plugin on the voxcommando and on the voxwav i use the little antenna icon, and i dont do anything else.  Whenever i press the button i get the error.

What can be problem?

Thanks
