I'm not sure but I can't use Pandora because it only works in the US and I am in Canada. Same problem with spotify, except that service only works in the UK and a few other countries. This is a problem with many services.
I don't know what the deal is with Grooveshark. They sell themselves as a legitimate service but it is kind of hard to believe since anybody can upload anything. I have not explored it that much but so far, while there are some good things about it, it does not look like there is a lot of room for outside development at the moment. We shall see. One thing we can do without having to change the actual program, is to set up a grooveshark search for artists that are already in your library in case you want to see what else is available from that artist.
we can basically create a command like "Groove Search {payloadxml: artists}"
and then use the action
Launch.OpenURL |
http://grooveshark.com/#/search?q={1}or you could create a command that "groove searches" the currently playing artist. this would vary depending on whether you used xbmc, itunes, mediamonkey etc.
I haven't played enough to say how it works but I did find this on some site...
Grooveshark is a Music streaming service providing user-uploaded MP3s for listening in a flash-based player. It also has an intergrated social network-type service and provides suggestions to you based on your listening habits similar to last.fm .
