Hi James!
(I am a registered Vox user)
I am trying the Skype plugin out on Win 7 X64,
I tried using 4.2.0.187 because my current version was giving me the message "Could not save contacts."
Then, after further reading here on the forums I upgraded to 5.8.0.158 and receive the same error?
Here is a screenshot:

Any Ideas? Could this be a file permission error?
Thanks

Hi Milo83,
please answer the following for me:
- What version of voxcommando are you using? (this should always be the FIRST thing anyone includes when asking for help)
- you said you were using 4.2.0.187 of skype. Did that work?
- Do any of the other skype commands work?
- do you get a permission popup from skype when you try to connect from VC? If you do you must allow.

Hi James!
I am using VoxCommando 0.944 :D
I got the same "Could not save contacts." with Skype version 4.2.0.187.
"Skype Set Status (Online/Offline/Etc.)" works! (In either version of Skype I believe)
In Skype's "Options" "Manage API Access Control" "VoxCommando.exe" is "Allowed to use Skype"
I often have "File Permission" problems because I like to prevent my friends from messing with my files.
P.S - Did you look at my screengrab in my previous post?
Thanks!

Yes. I did look at your screen-shots. If you are wondering why I asked about the permission popup it is because it needs to be allowed any time you install VC to a new folder and also any time you update VC to a new version. I'm not sure exactly what info Skype stores but when I am testing, every time I do a new build I have to "allow" again.
anyway, you are in luck. I just tested it and it also seems to work for me, but I am getting the same error for genXML. This will make it much easier for me to solve! :bignod I'll get back to you soon on this.

OK I think I found the problem. The fix will be in the next release, which hopefully will be in the next day or two, or maybe three... :)

please try the latest version:

you should be able to save your contacts to a payloadXML file now. I also added the option to specify where to save the xml file.
