Function with VoxCommando: Excellent (active noise reduction)
Microphone can be muted by pushing a button.

Sound: For this price category excellent (bass's are not quite as strong, but otherwise very good)

Fit: well adjusted, very comfortable.

cool. What about battery life?  You'll have to test them for a while first I guess.

Also, can you wear it around your neck comfortably if you just want to use the microphone without putting it on your ears?

In Canada: about $60 + shipping

Hi James,
I hope you've recovered from the party.  :D
The battery life is indicated by 8-9 hours, but I will try a few days. The microphone has a very flexible Swan-neck, it can also be operated without the headphones. The buttons are arranged well, the on-off switch is recessed slightly, it can be used easily.
The design is well done, and the headset can be enclosed in a neoprene bag store, good for traveling with Notebooks.

Greetings Kalle

HS-1000W Addendum: battery life = 4.5 hours after first use without charging

Is that with listening to music the whole time, or just having the microphone active?

ok, so maybe it would last longer without music.  But it depends on how intelligently it was engineered.

I think not very intelligent when it is out of range will not stop, and it has no battery charge level indicator.
I have now charged two hours, we'll see how long it keeps.  ;)

Ok, the second Addendum of HS-1000W: Battery life after two hour charging and permanent hear music and telling VC commands is the same 4-5 hours.
the good thing is, you can use the headset, when it is charging via USB-Cable (when you have a long cable  ;)  )

Conclusion: Very good and cheap wireless headset, good sound and very good microphone for Voxcommando.
New range test, on the same floor, one wall: more than 20 meters without interference.
