Title: installing hue commands
Post by: carlh1 on May 24, 2015, 09:55:31 PM
I've installed voxcommando (full version) and defaulted to the xbmc (kodi) config. I want to add hue commands now. I have the plugin workin, it recognizes the lights, but how/where do i get the voicecommands that are included in the hue config?

Thanks!

The easiest way is probably to create a second install of VoxCommando in a new folder and choose the hue config for the new one.

Then you will have access to the voicecommands.xml for that configuration.

It's a bit long but the following video discusses the concept when trying to combine the configs for XBMC and MediaMonkey.

If you don't want to actually install another config (even though it only takes a minute) you can also get the voice commands directly from the zip files for configurations which are stored in any existing VoxCommando folder under the subfolder \Resources\configs

I still recommend that you start with a new install and choose the hue config because there may be other files that are referenced such as payloadXML files and it's always a good idea to test new commands in the default config to get to know them a bit before you start trying to combine them with other configurations.

Perfect, thanks!. I did watch the video on merging the configs with media monkey. I'll try that.
