Title: Play song by Genre - Random Selection

Hello James,

You already have a play by Genre command in vox, but for some reason it keeps playing the same artist and song as the first song.

The command play by artist plays a random song by that artist everytime you request a song by artist.

Is there a way to get the random function for the play by genre command.

Yes.  Hmmm. The standard genre command is using a smart playlist and I'm actually not sure why.  Most likely I forgot to add it and then this was submitted by a user.  Who can keep track of it all?

Use this instead, which works like play song, play artist and play album:

thanks, that works.

the vc off and vc on during TTS commands really smooths things out out, no wilds commands.
