The screenshot is not so particularly helpful. Can you tell us more about your set-up?
1. Did you try 2.2.0.9 in its own folder or were you trying to overwrite your previous 2.2.0.7 installation (or an even earlier version)?
2. Are you trying to run VoxCommando.exe or VoxCommandoSP.exe?
3. What version of Windows are you using?
4. Which VC configuration do you use (e.g. Basic, Kodi Isengard, Philips Hue, JRiver, your own custom command set based on X & Y, etc.)
5. Can you look in the folder where you installed and tried to run 2.2.0.9 to see if there's a voxLog.txt file? If so, please post it.
6. Anything else you can think of related to your particular environment that may be relevant.
7. I don't know that it will say anything more useful, but the most relevant part of the pop-up message you showed would be under the "view problem details" . Can you tell us what that says?
Thanks.

You did not answer 7. ::dis
-Try to disable your anti virus.
-Download 2.209 again and install in an empty folder.
-If it still does not work for you go back to the previous version.
-Reenable your antivirus.
It's a mystery. As far as we can tell there is nothing wrong with 2.209. Everything works normally on several Windows 7 machines we test with.

I can confirm Version 2.209 works fine on my Windows 7 - as update on previous VC and also as install in a fresh folder. :)

Getting windows to check for a solution is always a waste of time as far as I know.

Where did you install VoxCommando? What folder path?

You can try to uninstall / reinstall / upgrade various versions of .Net.
I will be very surprised if you have the same problem on another computer but please let us know.
You can also try to run as administrator if you are not already doing that.
Otherwise I suggest you just stick with the older version for now. There probably is not any big difference between the two versions that you will notice. You can look at the change log to see if there is any change there that is important to you that was added in 2.2.0.9.

Thanks for the information.
.Net 4.6 is not required for VoxCommando as far as I know but by installing it you may have fixed something that was corrupt in your .Net system
