Title: Watcher Plugin- "Then Delete"
Post by: horstdog on October 08, 2018, 10:27:47 AM
Hi Everyone

I'm trying to use the Watcher plugin to "Execute on Create" and "Then Delete"

"Execute on Create" works well but my text file does not delete after.

Any other setting in VC need to be enabled or perhaps windows folder permissions?
I'm using VC 2.2.4.0

file name=feedcat.txt
contents=VC.TellVox&&feed cat

Thank you

You could try to run VC "As Administrator" in case it is a permission problem.  Where is the file located?

How is the file being created?  It's possible that the file is still locked somehow by whatever application created it.

Actually it looks like there might be a bug in the plugin.  I'll try to take a look at the code tomorrow and get back to you on this.

Hi James.

I was just about to reply when I saw your followup. I tried running as Admin, different folders, Dropbox and manual creation, but no success.

Thank for looking into it.

Yeah. Sorry about that.  Funny that no one else has reported that problem in all this time.

Here's an updated version of the plugin.  Replace the file in your plugins\watcher folder and be sure to unblock it.

Hi James

I won't be able to test now but will hopefully have an opportunity to try it out tonight.

Thank again.
