Title: Launch.Hidden Not Working?
Post by: HJewkes on August 05, 2012, 07:08:15 PM
I'm using Vox to trigger perl scripts in the background, but I can't seem to get it to stop flashing the command prompt window.  I am using Launch.Hidden and wperl.exe, both of which are designed to run in the background, but the command window still pops up briefly.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Can someone recommend a test to diagnose? I'm not sure if its an issue with the way Launch.Hidden runs, or if my call to perl is responsible...

I'm pretty sure the launch hidden works correctly so I would guess that your perl script is to blame, but if you want to upload some attachments I will look into it.

Please just confirm what version of VC you are using, and export and upload your command group.  I'm not too familiar with perl scripts.  Would I need to install perl to be able to test them?

Could you do a test with some other command line utility, to see if launch hidden is working for you there?
