Title: Run as a service
Post by: vulcanjedi on May 14, 2015, 04:11:39 PM
I'm gonna brave it and likely asking a ludicrous question but is it possible to run VC as a windows service?

Oh no you did-enn!

I noticed you posted this earlier, then wussed out and now I see you've decided to risk it.

Anyway, no.  It's not possible.  Even if I were inclined to make it possible (which I am not), I don't know if it is even possible to make something that is at its core, a UI driven entity, into a service.

At least now if anyone else dares to ask this, I have a link I can post...  :biglaugh

I have no experience with it whatsoever, but you could try this: http://www.coretechnologies.com/products/AlwaysUp/

There's 30-day free trial.

Whether it's referring to insomnia or an overdose of Viagra, "always up" sounds like something I'd rather avoid.
