VoxCommando Features

VoxCommando is extremely customizable

  • You decide which programs to control.
  • You decide which commands you want to use. Getting rid of commands you don't need increases the computer's ability to detect speech accurately.
  • You decide exactly how to trigger your commands and what parameters to use. You can choose any phrase to trigger a command, and you can assign multiple phrases to the same command easily.
  • You can also create complex phrasing strategies for more natural speaking.
    • you can include optional phrase segments (i.e. a command can optionally begin with the word 'please').
    • you can create "aliases" for objects used in commands. For example: "Livingroom light" could mean the same as "Overhead Light"

VoxCommando is flexible and powerful

VoxCommando allows you to do the following (and much more):

  • Direct control of MediaMonkey music manager
  • Send complex events to EventGhost, allowing for control over anything that EventGhost can control -- and that is a lot
  • Direct control of XBMC Xbox Media Center
  • Direct control of iTunes (Windows only)
  • Direct control of Windows Media Center (requires installation of a free plugin)
  • Communicate with the Vera home automation controller from MiCasaVerde
  • Interface with other programs and devices using TCP, http, and UDP protocols (for example, communicate with Global Cache iTach or network audio receivers)
  • Create custom scripts in Python
  • Create your own plugins in C#

VoxCommando has an extensive list of built-in Actions that can be used when building macros, such as:
