The EventGhost Broadcaster plugin is needed for VoxCommando to communicate back and forth with EventGhost.

Older versions of EventGhost do no include the Broadcaster plugin by default. You can upgrade to a new version of EventGhost Here.

Adding the plugin to your EventGhost configuration tree

  • Run EventGhost and add the plugin by clicking the icon that looks like a puzzle piece and then selecting "Broadcaster" from the "Other" category.
  • Default settings should be correct except for "Respond to self broadcast" which should be checked (if VoxCommando is running on the same machine as EventGhost)
  • Set the payload delimiter so that it is the same in both vox and the broadcaster plugin. The default should be && for both.
  • Make sure that Vox is sending on the same port number that the broadcaster plugin is set to listen to. The default should be 33333 for both.
  • Listening address should be correct, but you may have to select the correct one if you have multiple network adapters.
  • Broadcast zone should be 255.255.255.255

That should be it, all you have to do is run VoxCommando.exe, edit your commands in Vox to whatever you want (go to the "commands" tab in Vox), and you should be able to generate events with as many payloads as you like. Then build your macros in eventGhost however you want.

note: VoxCommando normally talks to EventGhost on port 33333, and EventGhost normally talks to VoxCommando on port 33000.
