Currently code-named the "BEAM", the device created by Kalle, David and JitterJames can receive and send IR and RF signals. The first prototype "Sphere" also has RGB lights used for user feedback or as a mood light.

Latest Firmware
Currently the latest firmware is 0.942 (updated 2017/03/18)
What's new:
- Fix for long raw codes (both RF and IR) - raw code strings longer than 255 *characters* were being cut off.
- This version supports a new light sensor (in the latest versions of the hardware)
- Ability to send RF to Livolo switches (no learn function yet)
- Christmas lights animation
- Support sending Panasonic codes with different "addresses" (this is really just because Panasonic codes are longer than other IR codes)

- BEAM Sphere firmware version 0.934 with PIR

Beam Plugin for VoxCommando
You must use the plugin if you want to learn raw RF. It can also be used to learn IR codes, but the web UI is still a better option for learning IR at the moment.
The plugin is in early stages of development. It works well but expect it to change significantly as we develop it.
VoxCommando versions 2.2.2.0 or later include the latest version of the Beam plugin (2.0.0.4). If you are using an older version of VC then you should update to a newer version.

Tutorial and sample commands
- I recommend using a new blank configuration of VoxCommando to avoid confusion.
- Download the Beam sample files here.
- Unzip the file into your new VoxCommando folder.
- It will create a \Beam folder, which contains some folders and files (note: this is distinct from the plugins\Beam folder -- don't confuse the two).
- It will create a file "Beam voicecommands.xml" that you should import into your command tree (drag the file into your tree).
- The folder also includes a bonus "IR Tower files" folder, with Global Caché (iTach) codes for popular devices. These codes can be used with iTach devices, or with the BEAM. For the BEAM, slight alterations to the iTach codes are needed. See the BEAM documentation for instructions.
- Get a beer or a couple of coffees.
- Watch the video tutorial (it's 30 minutes long).
