Wemo scan does not find any wemo switches (Solved)

I searched and was unable to find anything. I am using voxcommando 2.1.3.3 and wemo plugin 2.0.0.3, I scan for wemo switches and it does not find any. I have multple wemo switches and wemo motion detectors. Any ideas?

It's quite a long exchange, but has a lot of relevant information for Wemo users on W8 machines.

Thanks for the quick reply! I put it on a windows 7 machine and it sees them all!

The Wemo plugin should now work in Windows 10 and probably also in Windows 8 (untested).

I don't mean to reply to an old post, but it seemed relevant.  I've just upgraded to VoxCommando version 2.2.3.8, it is running on Windows 10.  I own 4 Wemo Insight switches.  I'm currently unable to automatically scan my network for them, but I'm able to manually add them and control them just fine.  The problem I'm seeing now is when VoxCommando is closed, and then re-opened, all of the Wemos are lost and need to be re-added once again.  I'm able to export a GenXML but I'm unsure how this can be accessed or imported for use again.  Any ideas?

OK.  I'll look into the issue of the manually added switches dissappearing.

I don't know why your switches are not auto detected.  I guess it's either due to your network setup, firewall, or maybe because of the particular type of Wemo switch that you have.  Are the 4 insight switches the only ones that you have?  Do you have other types that are being detected?  I only have the original plug-in Wemo switch that came out many years ago so I can't do any tests with other kinds of switches but I was under the impression that it was auto-detecting other types of switches for other users.

Maybe someone else who has an insight switch can let us know if theirs are being detected...  :biglaugh

OK I think I found the problem with manually created Wemos disappearing.

Please try replacing the Wemo plugin Dll with the attached file.  If you've never done this before please review the following guide:
