Women of West Africa have been using shea butter for centuries. Today, shea butter is increasingly recognized
as one of Nature’s biggest secrets due to its healing, nourishing,
and protective properties. Although it is used in small
quantities as a refined ingredient in some soaps, shampoos,
and lotions etc, pure unrefined shea butter has the most powerful
effect.
is 100% pure unrefined shea butter traditionally extracted from
the ripe nuts of the African karite (“life”) tree.
The pale yellow color and characteristic nutty scent attest to
the unaltered state of this naturally powerful product.
shea butter is loaded with naturally occurring and topically absorbable
forms of vitamins A, D, E, F and K. Pure shea butter is absorbed
quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy residue. It won’t
clog pores or block hair shafts.
shea butter will leave your skin feeling very agreeable and is mildly
disinfecting.

Useful Tips
Shea Butter was designed
by nature to melt at body temperature (approx. 98°F). Warming
the butter will make it softer and easier to spread. Melt a small
amount in the palm of your hand before applying.
Large amounts of shea
butter, for massage or hair treatments, should be carefully melted
in a double boiler. |
